The time has come for another reading list! I’m so excited for all the books I’m going to read this year– I’ve set a goal of 25. This list doesn’t include all 25, but these are the ones I plan to read for sure (hopefully lol). I wanted to share which have landed on my definite TBR list for the year, and maybe it’ll even inspire you to read a few of them yourself! 🙂
1. The Guild Hunter Series
I had heard such good things about this series from people who love author Sarah J. Maas (my fav author) that I decided to read the series myself. And let me tell ya, so far I have not been disappointed. I’m currently on book 6 and this series has already landed itself on my bookshelf among my other favorites.
2. A Court of Silver Flames
I’m currently waiting on this book to arrive in the mail and I am EEEEP so excited. This is the next book in my favorite book series ever and I can’t wait to read it!!!
3. Realm Breaker
This book is from the same author as the Red Queen series, which is really popular and was one of my favorites when I read it. Very interested to see what the author has in store for this next series!
4. Lore
I know very little about this book or the author but I have heard LOTS of good things about this book, and based on the blip it sounds pretty interesting. I’m intrigued by pretty much anything having to do with Greek mythology (thanks, Percy Jackson series), so I’m looking forward to reading it!
5. Queen’s Gambit
I was absolutely OBSESSED with the Netflix adaptation of this book. I binged it all in one day and had no clue that it was based on a book until I watched the behind the scenes special released on Netflix recently. The Netflix series was one that absolutely pulled me in and entranced me, so we’ll see if the book has the same effect!
6. Amber Spyglass
I started my reread of the His Dark Materials series in 2020, and it’s been so interesting to read and experience a familiar story so many years later. I read it for the first time either in late middle school or early high school I believe, and it’s been cool to get to re-explore the concepts presented in the books now that I’m an adult. If you’ve never read the series before I definitely recommend!
7. Women Don’t Owe You Pretty
I have heard such!! good!! things!! about this book. I’ve followed Florence Given on socials for years and absolutely adore her and her art, so I really am looking forward to reading this book and learning more about her story and her insights on certain things.
Alright, that’s it for the books I’m (hopefully) going to for sure read in 2021! If you’ve read any of these already let me know how you liked them in the comments! Once I read them all I’ll probably make a post about how I liked them. 🙂
See you next time!
