Best Fantasy Books to Read

When you’re a bookworm, finding new books to read can prove to be a challenge. It gets hard to find books to read when you feel as if you’ve read them all! Hopefully this handy dandy list can assist you in making your way to a new book journey.

If you’re like me, reading is a way to sort of escape reality. Whether you’re in a hard situation, stressed out, etc. reading is a way to be a part of another world that doesn’t have all of the mundane qualities of our own. When you open a book, you can travel to different places and meet different people. All of these books are ones that I have personally explored and lived in, and I want you to be able to as well. I have created this list of my absolute favorite books to share with you.

1. Splintered

Have you ever had a book just eyeball you every time you pass it in a book store? Yeah, that is what this one did to me. I would see it every time I went to the bookstore, I would pick it up and examine it every time I saw it, but for some reason I would always put it down. Until one time, I finally decided to buy it. And I loved it. If you are into stories based off of “Alice in Wonderland” then this is the book for you. It takes you into a wonderful, upside down fantasy world. It features fantasy and romance, and honestly, I couldn’t put it down; I’m sure you won’t be able to either.

2. Shatter Me

This is one of the best books that I have read in a while. It’s one my absolute favorite books if not my favorite right now. It’s one of those that like, hurts my heart to think back on because it was so good and I’m sad that I finished it. Reading a book the second time is never the same as getting to experience it the first time, ya know? If you like books about superpowers (in the least cliché way possible), or you can relate to being broken at some point in your life, you’ll love this series. Even if you can’t relate to those feelings, you’ll love it. It’s really good.

3. Eragon

This book series is filled with magic. It has all of the necessary components of an awesome fantasy book. I read this book a few years ago, and I fell in love with everything about it. It made me feel like I was a part of their world. I even painted my nails a sparkly blue for the entire time I was reading the series so that they would match Saphira’s scales…not kidding. This book is perfect for someone who wants to immerse themselves into a world of dragons and magic.

4. Fallen

This series holds such a grip on my heart. It was my favorite book for like, 3 years, and I’m confident that you’ll love it as much as I do. It is filled with romance, fantasy, and mystery. Take a trip into the life of Lucinda Price, and I promise you won’t regret it. If you’re like me, this is one of those series that’ll stay with you for a while.

4. Divergent

I’m sure you’ve all heard about this book, considering the series got really popular. If you’re one of the people who has only seen the movies, please trust me when I say that the books are so much better. I was not a big fan of the movies, but I loved the books. Tris is a really inspiring female character, and you will fall in love with her strength and courage.

5. Wings

My sister and I both fell in love with this series. Everyone that knows me knows that I am lover of anything having to do with fairies, so this series was perfect for me. This is a book that is so easy to get lost in. Magic seeps from the pages, and this book will leave you with a magical feeling.

6. The Hunger Games

I know this is another cliché series that you all have probably heard about, but it is seriously so good! I got so emotionally attached to this series and finished all of the books in 3 days. (This was back in middle school when still I had that kind of time. *sigh*) This series is so intriguing, and it is so easy to fall in love with the main character. Katniss’s strength and intelligence will make you want to be more like her.

I hope you choose to enter into some of these fantasy worlds, and I hope that you love them just as much as I do.
