Flower power photoshoot: How to successfully wear a bralette as a shirt

Hi everyone, happy monday! Today I’m doing a post featuring the pictures that I took with my bff, Hima, on our mini photo shoot that we had when I visited her.

For the photo shoot we went to the cutest little flower shop in Moore called “Pam’s plants.” The plants were all gorgeous and vibrant– it made for awesome pictures!

Sometimes it can be hard to figure out how to wear a bralette as a shirt while still being modest and not revealing too much. Today I’m going to share with you some tips on how I wore this bralette as a shirt while not having to feel like I was showing too much off.

For our photoshoot I decided to pair this Mudd bralette with this pair of Bar III tan shorts, and I love how it looks kind of cozy-chic.

I absolutely adore how the bralette is trimmed with lace at the bottom. It adds some length to it so that I can actually wear it as a shirt without looking like I’m straight up wearing a bra in public. Generally, I’m pretty modest with my clothing choices, and wearing this let me feel like I was covered up enough while still providing me some relief from the Oklahoma heat.

I feel like the trick to successfully pulling off a bralette as a shirt is wearing high waisted shorts. It just looks so much more flattering than trying to wear one with low rise shorts/ jeans, in my humble opinion.

If you’re ever looking to do a photoshoot with your friends, definitely stop by your local plant store. When Hima suggested that we go here to take pictures I was a little uncertain, but I think they all turned out really good. The hanging displays especially made for awesome pictures!

Hima and I were getting fourth of July vibes from these red, white, and blue flowers.

Alright, that’s all I have to say for this post! I hope you enjoyed this little sneak peek into our “flower power” photoshoot!
