I graduated college!!!
Last week I graduated college. 🙂 Here is a little post with some pictures from my graduation, some of the grad pics I took prior, and some details on my graduation. 🙂
I graduated from the University of Oklahoma Price College of Business with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a major in Entrepreneurship and Venture Management with significant distinctions. (woot woot)
Right before the commencement ceremony
Here I am with some pals from the Entrepreneurship program right before graduation. I think it’s funny that we accidentally organized ourselves from tallest to shortest.
Here I am with the other flag bearers before graduation. I was selected to carry the Oklahoma flag at graduation to represent the Tom Love division of Entrepreneurship due to my academic achievements! It was such an honor to be selected, and it was really nice to meet the other flag bearers. We were the first people to walk in to commencement right behind the faculty, and we sat on the stage with the faculty.
The line of people to get into the graduation was really long and the ceremony ended up being a little delayed so people could get inside, so me and the other flag bearers ended up having to stand behind some bleachers and hang out there for a while waiting on the ceremony to start lol. Here is a picture of us right before we went in!
The commencement ceremony
Here I am carrying the Oklahoma flag! I was really really focused on not tripping.
Here we all are in our spots on the stage before we sat down! The poinsettias were so pretty.
Here’s me walking out after officially becoming an OU alum!!! I was looking around trying to find my grandma and my dad. Turns out they were right in front of me but they were so close I didn’t see them.
Here is the same moment except from my dad’s perspective hahaha. I was looking right over their heads. Was also still partly focused on not tripping.
Post commencement
Right after graduation I took some pictures with my family. Here I am with my mom and my youngest sibling.
Here’s me and my bestie!! Hima was the best moral support on graduation day, she brought me coffee beforehand and even dropped me off at the building I was supposed to go to because I was afraid I wouldn’t be able to find it. She saved me a lot of anxiety lol. Her and I have been through 8th grade, high school, and now college graduations together!! Wild.
She graduated in the spring so for my graduation I just wore her cap and gown. Funny thing though, I didn’t know that different colleges had different colored tassels you are supposed to wear on the cap. Hima graduated from the College of Arts and Sciences and I graduated from the College of Business. But I wore her cap. So the tassel I wore was yellow when it was really supposed to be a tan color lol. Oops. It was fine though.
Here I am with my dad and grandparents at Olive Garden after. My grandparents drove here all the way from Indiana to watch me graduate, and I’m so grateful they were able to be there!!
Graduation pictures
Lastly, here are some of my grad photos (portraits?) I took prior to graduation to put on my announcements! Hima actually took these with my camera lol. We had a fun time shooting them.
Had to include Mr. Dobby in my grad pics!! He was not a fan of his little cap though. Also, you can’t see it in the pictures, but his little bandana says “Class of 2021.” So cute!!
Going to college during a pandemic has been strange and hard, but I’m very grateful for my college experience, everything I’ve learned, and all of the people I’ve met along the way. I really loved my time spent in the Entrepreneurship program at OU, it was so much fun. I’m going to miss it, but I’m very proud to be an OU Price College of Business grad now!!
Okay, that’s it for this post! I hope you enjoyed getting a look into my graduation experience. 🙂
