I let my fashion blogger friend pick my outfit for a photo shoot
Hi everyone. So this week I decided to do a kind of behind the scenes post of my photo shoot with my friend Sarah who is a fashion blogger at beretmerry.com. She has the most unique fashion sense of anyone that I’ve ever seen, and she is oh so cute! So, yeah, I decided that I would put a post together to show you guys all of the pictures!

I talked about this in my Spring Goals post, but I recently bought a Canon Rebel T5 and that is what we took these pictures with. I love it! I’ve been wanting to upgrade my camera for a while and this one is perfect for talking blog pics.
I am not creative at all when it comes to clothing. I’ve been trying to step out of my comfort zone lately, but for the most part I’m super basic and wear pretty much the same thing all of the time. I rarely am adventurous when picking out clothes–I guess that’s why having a fashion blogger friend comes in handy. Sarah always encourages me to pick clothes that are more unique.
This photoshoot was so much fun (other than the fact that it was FREEZING outside). It makes me so happy that I have a blogger friend who is always willing to take pictures with me. 🙂 Anyway, I’ll stop rambling about how much I love Sarah and get on with the post.
For my outfit, I chose this off the shoulder peplum top from Kohls. I think the embroidery on this shirt is so pretty. I feel like you can wear shirts like this year round regardless of the season. The flowery details and flowy sleeves make it perfect for spring, but the silver, red, and black combo is perfect for winter.
Also, don’t be afraid to venture into the clearance section of stores! You never know what gems you will find. I found this shirt on a clearance rack and it was super cheap.
For the shoes I chose my knee high black boots that tie in the back–also from Kohls. These boots are super comfy and I feel like they go with everything. They’re definitely a staple in my wardrobe. If you’re interested, here is a pair that looks exactly like them on Amazon and they’re pretty cheap!
I got these jeans at American Eagle like 2 years ago, and surprise, they were also on clearance. I rarely buy any of my clothing full price lol.
This pic was featured on my Insta (if you don’t follow me, what r u doing? Click here to follow me so that you can see all of my pink pics.) I bought myself this opal Kendra Scott necklace for my birthday, and I’m basic and wear it with pretty much everything. It’s my birthstone though, so I guess that makes it okay? It’s seriously so pretty though and it matches everything.
I love wearing red lipstick to bring in a pop of color whenever I’m wearing a rather monotone outfit. I love the way that this one brings out the flowers on my shirt! Also, idk why I look so annoyed in this pic lol.
If you guys want to see more of this photoshoot, make sure to go to Sarah’s blog to see what she wore!
I know this post is a little different from what I normally do, but I hope you enjoyed the little behind the scenes nonetheless! I’m trying to get better at posting more things about my life on here for the people who want to see that (like my grandma lol).
