Kindle Unlimited Review

This past summer I decided to try out Kindle Unlimited. When I was contemplating whether or not to purchase it, I turned to Pinterest for some reviews. To my surprise, there were very few reviews of it! I tried it out anyway though, and now I have for you my no bs, completely honest Kindle Unlimited review.

An important thing to note is that I am a huge bookworm. I had a lot of free time on my hands this summer, and I wanted to read a lot of books. Kindle Unlimited has over million books that you can read for free with a subscription of $9.99 a month. It may seem a bit pricy, but in reality, you usually pay the same price for just one book. So, seeing that I had the option to read over a million books for the price of just one regular priced book, I decided to dive in.

What I learned

  • Kindle Unlimited doesn’t have many popular books

While Kindle unlimited does have over a million titles, it didn’t have very many that I had heard of before. I recognized The Hunger Games, Milk and Honey, The Harry Potter Series, Lord of the Rings, and some others, but other than that, Kindle Unlimited is made up of books that aren’t widely known.

That’s not a bad thing, though! I read a lot of awesome books that I had never heard of. Just because they’re not widely known, doesn’t mean they’re not good!

  • It is perfect if you like to listen to audio books in the car

This summer I had a 14 hour drive back home from my mom’s house, and having Kindle Unlimited made it SO much better. I downloaded a bunch of books beforehand and listened to them the whole way home! I finished an entire book. If you spend a lot of your time commuting to work, school, etc. I definitely think that Kindle Unlimited is worth the purchase.

  • It is really great if you spend a lot of your time reading

While I had the subscription, I read so many books, and I was definitely getting a bang for my buck. It is so worth it to buy the subscription if you have a lot of time on your hands to read, or if you like to spend most of your free time reading.

I’m going to be completely honest though, if you don’t have enough time to read at least two books a month, then you probably won’t be making the most out of your subscription. I subscribed to it for 4 months when I had a lot of free time, but once school started up again I just didn’t have enough time to read, so I had to cancel my subscription. 🙁

  • They have all genres of books

No matter what your taste in books is, you will definitely be able to find something that you like. I personally chose to read a bunch of fantasy and self-help books. There are options out there for everyone!

  • You don’t have to have a Kindle to use the subscription

A cool thing about doing the subscription is that you can read books on the kindle app on your phone or computer! This makes it really convenient if you want to listen to audio books in the car, if you want to read while waiting for appointments, etc. Click the banner below to download the app (it’s free)!

Overall impression of Kindle Unlimited

I honestly loved having my subscription to Kindle Unlimited. I think it is totally worth the money if you like to read. There are SO many book options, and you can read as many books as you possibly want every month.

If you’re thinking about trying it, you can click here to get a month free of Kindle Unlimited!

If you don’t have time to read more than 1 book a month, then I would say don’t buy the subscription after the free trial. It’s just not worth it to pay $9.99 a month if you’re not going to use the subscription.

However, if you do have the time to read a bunch, then buying the subscription is DEFINITELY worth it. I mean, access to over a million books for the same price of two cups of coffee? Count me in.

I’ll have to check this out! I listen to so many audiobooks each month that I definitely think it would be worth it for me.

It’s definitely worth it, especially if you listen to a lot of audio books! I loved listening to the audiobooks when I used it, and it ends up being so much cheaper than buying a bunch of books!
