Spring Reading List 2018
In celebration of it finally being spring, I decided to post my spring reading list! I love to read, and posting these reading lists helps me keep track of what I want to read. It’s also a plus that I get to share what books I’m going to read with you!

I didn’t quite get to all of the books on my fall and winter reading list, so some of the books are going to overlap from there. I’m also not big on limiting the books that I want to read, so I probably won’t stick to only these books. Like, if I find a book in a used book store that I think looks interesting then I’ll probably buy it and read it.
Books that I’ve read since my last reading list:
- The Glittering Court
I found the Glittering Court at a used bookstore last semester and it looked so interesting that I had to buy it. I loved it! I think I finished it in a day.
- The Selection Series
I am currently (finally) reading the Selection series. I’m on the fifth book, and let me tell you, this series is AMAZING. I also found them at a used book store (the first four books for only $15! Score!) and I started reading them the day that I got them. I finished the first three in 5 days I think, and I’m sure I would’ve finished them faster if I hadn’t peeled myself away from the third book so that I could study for my midterms.
Now that you know what books I’ve read since my last reading list, let’s get on to my spring reading list!
Spring Reading List 2018
Matched
I’ve had this book for years, but I’ve never read it. I’ve recently seen it on a bunch of book recommendation lists on Pinterest, so I decided that I finally need to read it.
Matched is a story of a girl named Cassia who lives in a society where the government decides “who you love. where you work. when you die.” When her best friend and another boy show up on the matching screen, she has to decide between the two of them.

Caraval
Scarlett and Tella Dragon are two sisters who live together on an island with their father. Scarlett has dreamed of seeing Caraval, a performance that only happens once a year that the audience participates in. When Scarlett is set up in an arranged marriage, she thinks that her dreams of going to the show are over, until she receives her long awaited invitation. Tella and Scarlett run away to the show, but as soon as they get there, Tella is kidnapped by Caraval’s organizer, and it turns out that this year she is the star of the show. Whoever finds her first is the winner, and Scarlett is whisked into a whirlwind of a magical game, determined to find her sister before the time is up.

Six of Crows
In Six of Crows, a man named Kaz Brekker is offered a substantial sum of money to kidnap someone. However, the place that he has to heist is the Ice Court–aka the most highly guarded place in Fjerda. He knows that he can’t pull it off on his own, so he recruits some people to help him. Even with help, it still isn’t an easy task, so he and the others have to learn to work together.
I found this at a used bookstore in Branson for super cheap, so I am definitely going to read it soon since I actually have it in my possession now! I’ve heard that it is amazing.

Night Circus
The Night Circus is about a circus that magically appears without warning, and is only open at night. However, behind the scenes there is a fierce competition going on between two magicians named Celia and Marco, who have been trained since they were young just for that purpose. Neither one knows that only one can make it out alive though, and they soon fall in love, putting the lives of everyone around them in danger.
I’m obsessed with any thing having to do with circuses, so I’ve been wanting to read this book for a looong time.

Red Queen
In Red Queen, a seventeen year old girl named Mare finds herself in a world divided. With the Silvers ruling with a powerful queen, and the Reds being the commoners. Mare is on the Red side of the spectrum, until suddenly she finds herself working in the Silver palace. She soon discovers that she has some power of her own, and the Silvers try to hide her potential by declaring her a long-lost Silver princess. However, Mare does not forget her roots, and she finds herself in a battle between the Red and Silvers.
I found this book at a used bookstore, and it is next on my list to read once I finish the Selection series! I’m so excited!

And I darken
And I darken is a story of brother and sister, Lada and Radu. They were taken from their home and abandoned in a court that they despise. Lada has made the decision to fight against the Ottoman’s when she and her brother meet Mehmed, who is the son of the Ottoman sultan. The three of them form a very strained bond that tests the limits of relationships.
This book sounds super interesting to me, and it is another one that I saw recommended a lot on Pinterest. The title of it is what drew me in, so I’m super intrigued.

YESS~! I love the books you picked out! Some are on my TBR list and some I have read. I LOVE the Red Queen but as the series continued it was hard to go on for me. 🙁

I’m reading the Red Queen now and I like it so far! It is the worst when series are like that–like the first books are amazing but the farther that you get in the series the worse the books get. I really hope I’m able to get through the whole series!
