Summer makeup round up: how to get a healthy glow
Hi everyone! So far this summer I’ve been really loving doing super glowy makeup looks. I decided that today I would share some of the products I’ve been loving this summer to achieve a healthy, summery glow!

Since it’s been super hot here in Oklahoma, I’ve been wanting to apply as minimal makeup as possible while still getting some coverage. I find that a face of heavy foundation and concealer just melts off my face in this heat. Thankfully, I’ve figured out what products I can use to get some coverage while still keeping a natural, dewy look. So, here is the list of my summer makeup essentials!
1. Moisturizer with SPF

I’ve been loving Cetaphil’s oil control moisturizer. It is amazing at keeping my face oil free, AND it has SPF! Basically unheard of. This is the only moisturizer with spf that I’ve tried that doesn’t make my face an oily mess. It’s so perfect for summer makeup routines.

This CC cream is AMAZING. Since I definitely don’t want to wear a full coverage foundation during the summer and I have pretty bad acne, I was looking for a CC or BB cream that had good coverage and spf, and I found this one (admittedly, I found it in my step mom’s makeup drawer. Hi Kimbri, if you’re reading this, I’m sorry I stole your makeup! It’s just so nice). It covers all of my acne and the formula feels SO nice. It feels like I’m just rubbing more moisturizer into my skin when I put it on. It does make your skin a little shiny though, so make sure you use some setting powder on top of it. Other than that, this product has been a holy grail for me this summer.

I could SQUEAL over how much I love these highlighters. After hearing my favorite youtuber rave over Becca highlighter, I was so so so excited to receive these as an Easter gift. And let me tell you, it has been the gift that just keeps on giving. They are both just SO gorgeous. They give the perfect golden glow without being sparkly or glittery. Love love love them. Seriously.
When I’m using them in my makeup routine, I will put the liquid highlighter on right on top of my CC cream before I set my face. Then, after I set my face, I will use the powder one on top. On just a casual day though, I just use the liquid one and it gives a perfect, subtle glow.
4. Tarte cheek stain

I’ve been using this cheek stain for like 2 years now, and I don’t think I’ve ever loved a cheek stain more. It’s the nicest balmy formula, and it smells like HEAVEN. It blends out so nicely and is the prettiest color ever.
To use it, I just get a little on my fingers and put it on the tops of my cheeks and a tiny bit on the tip of my nose, right on top of my CC cream. It gives me that super cute “sunburned” look that is so popular right now.
5. Tarte Amazonian Clay blush

This blush is soooo pretty. I use it on top of my cheek stain after I set my face, and it just brings out the pink a little bit more.
6. Tarteist Lash Paint

Obviously I’ve been loving everything Tarte recently. I feel like they just have super awesome products for the summer, and this mascara is no exception. The wand is perfect for getting super long lashes that don’t look clumpy!
