My Monthly favorites: June 2018

I’m back with another monthly favorites post! I haven’t done one of these since February, so I’m really excited to jump back into it and update you guys on all of the things I loved this month!

I’m not entirely sure if I made a conscious decision to stop doing monthly favorites or what exactly happened there. I can’t believe that it’s been 4 months since I’ve done one! I really like writing these posts so I’m bringing them back! 🙂

I tried really hard to get good pictures of the products but all of my pictures turned out horrible. So, sorry for no pictures! I ended up just having to use a picture of me and my dog from the fourth of July for the Pinterest image, so enjoy that. Lol.

I’ve loved lots of stuff this month. Stay tuned to see all of it!

Books:

  • War storm– This book came out on the 15th of May, but I didn’t get a chance to read it until the middle of June. It is the final novel in the Red Queen series. I am in love with the series and the finale definitely did not disappoint.
  • A Court of Frost and Starlight– I did not expect to love this book series as much as I do. I literally could not put it down. It’s the perfect balance of action and chill moments, if you know what I mean. A Court of Frost and Starlight is sort of like a transition book to the next part of the series, and it is super relaxing and cute.

Netflix Shows:

  • 90210- My sister and I just started watching 90210 (I know we’re a bit late to the party). It’s very unrealistic about what high school is like, but I guess that’s what makes it so much fun to watch.
  • Sense 8- This show is SO good. I’m so upset that it got cancelled. It’s one of those shows that you just can’t stop thinking about.

Makeup:

  • It cosmetics cc cream– I wrote about this in my summer makeup roundup, but I’m going to talk about it again because I love it that much. It is the only CC cream that I’ve ever used that covers my acne, and it feel so nice and satiny on the skin. AND it doesn’t break me out. It’s a little pricy, but definitely worth it.
  • Cetaphil oil control moisturizer with SPF 30– I’ve been loving this moisturizer this summer. Most of the moisturizers that I’ve used with SPF in them have a really gross oily consistency, but this one doesn’t have that. It feels moisturizing but still manages to keep my skin mostly matte.
  • Kiehl’s lip balm #1 Mint– If you know me you know I’m obsessed with lip balm, and this is the best that I’ve used to date. It makes my lips feel so soft and also has a little bit of a plumping effect. I also love it for summer because it doesn’t melt in the heat!

Miscellaneous:

Rose essential oil- I’ve been nonstop diffusing rose essential oil in my room this summer and it smells like a dream.

Discover weekly on Spotify- I’ve found so much awesome new music by listening to this playlist! I especially love it because it puts a lot of lesser known artists on there.
