My goals for spring 2018
Hi everyone! I don’t know about you guys, but since spring break ended it has been SO hard for me to get motivated. I don’t feel like doing ANYTHING. Homework, blog posts, you name it–I don’t feel like doing it (unless “it” is reading, watching youtube, or sleeping). So, in accordance with that, I decided that I seriously need to sit down and write some goals for Spring to kick myself into gear. What better place to write them than here?
I have so many goals for this month, I really just need to build up the motivation to do all of them! Writing things down really helps me to focus on the things I want to get done and to hold myself accountable. It also helps me to remember the things that I want to get done, because sometimes I have so many ideas of things that I want to do that I forget some. Know what I mean? Anyway, here are my spring goals!
Spring Goals 2018
Get all A’s
So far so good on this goal. I’ve just gotta stick it out through finals and the end of the semester and hopefully I’ll end up getting all A’s.
Hang out with friends more
I’ve wrote about this a few times on here, but at the beginning of this semester I managed to get stuck in a rut of loneliness. I wasn’t feeling great, so I withdrew from a lot of people and stopped making any effort to hang out with anyone. Lately I’ve been really trying to make a big effort to hang out with some of my friends, though. I realize how much I need people in my life to talk to and hang out with. A lot of them are too busy to hang out, but hey, at least I’m trying.
Go to the gym at least 3x a week
I was in athletics all throughout high school, but when I got to college I didn’t really have any reason to go to the gym anymore, so I just didn’t. It was a huge mistake though. I’ve just started to realize how much exercising helps me with my anxiety. It also just helps me have SO much more energy and just makes me feel better in general.
So, yeah. I’m not going to the gym to lose weight or get that “summer bod.” I’m just setting the goal to go 3 times a week because it makes me feel so much better.
Start a youtube channel
I’ve been wanting to start a youtube channel FOREVER. I’ve recorded a few videos on my macbook, but I didn’t end up posting them just because the quality is eh and I can’t really get great angles in a video if I’m recording on a laptop. BUT today I ordered a Canon rebel T5 because I wanted to upgrade my camera, and this one can record video! I’m so so so excited to be able to take/record awesome quality pics/videos now. EEP! If you guys have any videos that you would like to see when I get the camera, hit me up in the comments. 🙂
Sell some clothes on Poshmark
Okay this is another thing that I’ve been wanting to do for a while now. I’m not really happy with my wardrobe anymore because a lot of the things that I have are crazy patterns that won’t match with each other, so I want to sell a lot of the shirts and dresses that I have so that I can start my wardrobe over and start buying basics. Like, I don’t even have a simple black or white tshirt. That’s a problem! So yeah I want to sell some stuff so I can start over.
Be consistent with blogging
Asdhfksjdhfakjsd. I love blogging SO much, but with all of the other stuff going on in my life, sometimes it can be a pain to sit down and write a blog post. I did so well in February and posted twice a week, but then in March I became so unmotivated and went back to only posting once a week. I just want to be motivated enough to stay consistent because I love this blog so much and I just want it to be successful. *cries*
Read at least 10 books
For the last month or so I’ve swapped out my Netflix time with reading time. It has been so awesome. I absolutely love to read, but since I started college I had only read one book for fun (up until last month). Since I’ve stopped watching Netflix, I have read 8 books. In like a month. That is CRAZY to me. I feel like the payoff from reading books is so much higher than watching Netflix for me. Reading is more relaxing, it makes me feel like I’m using my brain, and every time I finish a book I feel proud of myself. That’s why I’m setting the goal to read 10 more books before Spring is over!
Psst. If you haven’t read my Spring Reading list to see what books I’m reading, you totally should! It has some awesome Young adult fantasy novels that you definitely need to read.
Practice Self Care
Practicing self care is incredibly important to me, but sometimes I let myself slip. In the past week or so I’ve been so busy with school that I haven’t really been taking great care of myself. I definitely need to consciously practice self care for the rest of the semester, especially since finals season is looming just around the corner, and that’s when I (and most other college students) tend to let self care fly out the window.
Last week I had another awesome college blogger write a post for my blog about how to practice self care as a college student. If you haven’t checked it out yet, you definitely should because it has some great info.
Get to 1500 instagram followers
If you’ve been keeping up with my blog posts, you know that lately I’ve been working really hard on my Instagram. I’m currently at 1057 followers, and I would really like to hit 1500 before Spring is over! If you don’t follow me on Instagram already, you should definitely go do that. 🙂 Help a sista out. Go dairy free
This is probably going to be the hardest goal for me to fulfill because I love cheese. However, my acne has been horrible lately and I know that dairy causes acne, so I really want to try to take this step to making my skin better. I’ll keep you guys updated on how it goes!
That’s it for my spring goals! I hope you liked reading this post!
