Highlights of my summer 2018
As school is starting back up and this summer is coming to an end, I wanted to make a post to reflect on my favorite parts of this summer.
This summer was a good one. I’ve never really had a “good” summer before. I used to always see people tweeting things like “I can’t wait for summer”, “is summer here yet?”, etc, and I just like… couldn’t relate. I used to get really depressed during the summer because I wouldn’t have anything to do once school was over.
However, this summer was an exception. I ended up getting a really nice job at a golf course, posting consistently on my blog, hanging out with my friends, and a lot of other really nice productive things. I just thought it would be a good idea to take some time to reflect and be grateful for this summer, and to try and pinpoint my favorite parts.
This is also serves as a nice little summary of my summer for those of you who want to stay updated on my life. 🙂
So without further ado, here are the highlights of my summer 2018.
My sister’s graduation festivities
It was so nice to have all of my immediate family here for my sister’s graduation. My sister, my dad, and I all live in Oklahoma, while most of the remainder of our family lives in Indiana and Ohio. So, it was really nice to be able to have my grandparents, my mom, and my brother come to Oklahoma for a few days to celebrate.
The week surrounding her graduation was a really busy one, but it was so nice. I’m so proud of Lauren for all that she accomplished, and it was really nice to celebrate her. 🙂

My bestie’s bday
On June 16th we had my best friend Hima’s bday party. We went and ate at a restaurant called Picasso’s and then had a get together afterwards. Here are some pics.

The many times that I went to the pool with my friends were definite highlights of my summer.
God is a woman release
If you know me you know I love love love Ariana Grande, and I was on the edge of my seat waiting for the God is a woman release. It did not disappoint! The song and the music video are iconic. Only one day until her album drop now!!!
Oh Wonder Concert
On July 17th my sister and I went to the Oh Wonder concert in OKC. We got there early so we could get good spots in line, and we waited for 8 hours in the 100 degree heat. That part was pretty miserable, but the experience overall was A+. The venue was beautiful and the concert was so fun! Here I am at the barrier!
Moving into my new apartment
I am currently sitting on the couch of my new apartment writing this post. I moved in 4 days ago, and let me tell ya, it’s been a hectic past few days. However, I am finally all settled in, and after 7 hours on the phone with customer service yesterday, I have wifi so that I can finally finish this post! An apartment tour is coming very soon. 🙂
That’s it for the highlights of my summer! Like I said at the beginning of this post, this summer was amazing, eventful, and productive. I’m sad that it’s ending, but onto bigger and better things, right? 🙂
